Did I mention that Saddle Tramps Collection (that's our legit name) showed at Williamsburg Fashion Weekend? It was at Glasslands, a really great gallery/venue/bar a few weekends ago. PUNKCAST posted a video of our show the day after (way to be on top of it guys!) and I'm really excited to be able to share it with everyone. These pictures are over a week old now but I'll post them anyway....
NY is breathless and wonderful, the Creatures of the Wind show was glittery and fun. The presentation was hosted by the boutique Maryam Nassir Zadeh which was right down the street from our hostel.

It is confirmed... I'll be in NYC for fashion week!

Oh... my... can't wait to see the Rick Owens superstore!!

trunk show friday

Friday was my very first trunk show at Verse boutique, I brought mostly jewelry, but some very good looking boys tried on the harem pants from my senior thesis.... Lastly, Miguel in a leather eyepatch that I made for him, beautiful!

So everyone, the big news is that I am finally having a premier trunk show! It's very short notice (because of a lack of internet access) but if you can, come out to Verse Boutique at 1821 W. North Ave tomorrow night from 5 - 11 !!!! You can check out my new leather jewelry that I've been working on and a preview of the collection that Danny and I have been working on all summer (surprise, Danny!) Since I've been back from Bangalore, I've been trying to keep up with Bollywood at least a little... and I must say, I can hardly wait until this new Shahid thrilller!!!

well, i'm a real college graduate now...

and a classmate of mine introduced me to probably the best (and most comforting) advice that I have been given yet. Watch the whole thing, really.

मोरे इन्तेरिओर्स

Danny and I started sewing up some samples for the collection yesterday. I was very surprised when our first muslin turned out to be almost exactly what we had intended... It's so exciting to see everything coming together!! Only two more months until it is unveiled to the world (or... the few people who will see it) but to get you excited I'm posting some spare inspiration. From top to bottom, the owners of these skulls are::: sugar glider, lynx, elk and armadillo. Yes! Sugar gliders even have cute skulls! They are a perfect animal.

Last night was my first shoot for the portrait project I'm working on... Not only did it turn out better than I could have imagined, but I got about five too many great shots that I can't even use. Great start for a series that I was initially very, very nervous about.

Danny and I started building the set for the next shoot tonight... It's all very exciting.
