My new favorite song and my new favorite choreography...
It is exciting to find that the inspiration is just as good. Clever, Beyonce, clever.

I've been working from dawn to dusk and dusk til dawn, accomplishing nothing, on the verge on total mental collapse, and still all i can think about is how nice it would be to look nice again and get a new pair of boots.

If I ever got over my aversion to bike riding in cold weather... or if I could ever save up money for a bike to put in my living room, I would do it in style with a pure-class wooden lowrider.

my favorite time of year.

I've been skimping with my inner ho the last couple of years so I decided that this Halloween I'm going to go all out and be the biggest tramp in space: Barbarella.

Why is everything there so much nicer?

Chicago Fashion Focus is finally over.
It was pretty nice to see some of the hard work I did for Agga on stage and pretend that I am actually in the industry... Next year I am hoping that my own designs will be onstage, but for now I am content with sipping (far too many) cocktails at the VIP. This Agga B. look was shown at the World of Fashion show. I spent about four hours of my life weaving together that scarf, check it out!

next week... in technicolor.

the other day i got a nice short break all to myself, and decided to make oatmeal and watch bande a parte... it is the best of the best, to watch at sunset, with coffee. maybe though, wine would have been a bit better. just enough to be able to still read the subtitles.

also, fashion week. makes me so happy.
everyone is raving over balmain, but i loved rick owens most.

The other day Danny and I caught an interview with James Prosek on NPR. I'd never heard of him before, but he was a pretty intriguing super-nerd writer, philosopher and artist so I had to check out some of his work. Turns out we have a lot in common, we both like combination animals.

not that i've made the appointment yet, but next week my hair should be looking something similar to this... i'm making my best attempt at the intimidating biker persona (does brigitte bardot count?) before i purchase the bike.

good morning.

Last night we found the DVD series of the first season of X files.
I forgot how obsessed we were with the paranormal in the nineties. I think watching shows like this might be the root of my insomnia. Anyway, I slept with the light on in the hallway, and now that I'm awake MIA is making me feel a lot better...

Girl on a Motorcyle

When I first moved to Chicago, there always a little Indian four-stroke parked down the street. It was the perfect size and radiated a perfect amount of coolness... I envied the hell out of that bike. When I finally caught a glimpse of its owner (a nondescript middle age man), I got the idea that maybe it is about time to revive the association between hipness and bike culture. Granted the fact that I know absolutely nothing about motorcyles at all, I'm starting to do some research about what might be the best bike for me. I'm thinking something along the lines of Bob Dylan and his Triumph...
